Advice for writers
Always be personally invested in your writing. Even if you’ve been given what you feel to be a boring prompt, find some way to make your writing interesting and unique to you. If you are passionate about your topic, the ideas and the words will flow so much easier, and your energy will definitely come through in your writing.

How do you get started on a writing assignment?
Outline, outline, outline. I try to come up with as many ideas, topics, quotes and sources as possible to integrate. This makes the writing process much smoother: I don’t end up going in an unforeseen direction with my paper, and I don’t end up one page short of the requirement with all my ideas spent. It’s always easier to cut out quotes and ideas as I go instead of trying to come up with some when I’m already burned out from writing.
