Live Internet Stream
|
|
Please
click here to launch our live 24-7 internet stream. We are using the Windows Media encoder for broadcasting. Please refer to the operating system notes below for more information. |
|
At any time, feel free to call the station at
x4365 (off campus 920-403-4365) to request a song or talk with a DJ who's on the air. Currently, our call box is nonfunctional so we will not be able to connect you to our stream. However, you can still chat with our crew for anything you need. Please note: if the stream is down or you are having technical difficulties connecting to us, please contact our tech officer,
Adam Ziegler.

PC ListenersIf you are using
Mozilla Firefox, you will be prompted to open the stream through a media player on your machine. For
Internet Explorer users, there will be a pop-up window that contains the stream.

Mac Listeners
You can listen by using
Silverlight, a cross-browser, cross-platform player that allows Mac users with a newer operating system to listen seamlessly to Windows Media streaming. Anyone with OSX 10.4 or newer can
download Microsoft Silverlight and listen through it. The player should prompt you to download the new player. Once installed the listen live button should automatically launch the Silverlight player.
If you are on a Mac with an older version of OSX, you can do the following: launch the
Windows Media Player for Mac (you can also use Flip4Mac, and in some cases you can use the VLC player). Select FILE --> Open URL. This will give you a window that allows you to enter the URL of the WSNC stream, which is:
http://nick8.surfernetwork.com/Media/wsnc_radio.asx. Please note that there is an underscore between "wsnc" and "radio" in the URL. Once the music begins, you can select "favorites", then "add to favorites" so you can store this for easy access each time you wish to listen. |
