Meetings That You Can Look Forward To
The Zambia Project meets every Monday (when classes are in session) at 7 p.m. in the Campus Center room 340. New members are welcome at any time! If you have compassion for children, a belief in the value of education in overcoming poverty, and some time and energy for fundraising projects, the ZP is perfect for you!
What You Do As A Member
How much time do you have? Whether you have a little or a lot of time to donate to the Zambia Project, you can help. We host fundraising events throughout the year and also work at the Resch Center concession stands.
The Trip to Zambia
More than thirty Zambia Project members have visited the Zambia Open Community Schools throughout the past ten years to learn the needs of the schools and check up on funded projects. A trip is offered each year, but traditionally there has only been enough interest to go every other year. Recently, trip interest has spiked. The 2010 trip had fourteen travelers, the largest group the Zambia Project has ever sent to ZOCS. Each traveler incurs his/her own trip expenses.
