The Zambia Project advisers have organized five, occasional (not annual) study trips to Zambia. The purpose of these trips was to learn first-hand about the work of the ZOCS staff, visit the schools and meet the pupils who the project serves.

The 2010 Zambia Trip

In June 2010, eight students, four alumns and two staff members of The Zambia Project traveled to Zambia for 3 weeks. The majority of the trip, the travelers stayed in a hostel near Lusaka, Zambia's capital. They also spent one weekend living out in the "bush," or Zambia's rural countryside. Throughout the trip, they visited many of the ZOCS schools that The Zambia Project supports. They witnessed firsthand the good work that is being done, and also the great need that still exists. They were able to interact with the students, teachers, and staff at the schools. The trip provided them with a unique opportunity to interact with the amazingly kind people, and witness the beautiful landscapes of Zambia.
