Stephen began teaching and directing at St. Norbert College in 2005, among which he directed everything from classics to new plays.

Stephen received his Ph.D. in theatre practice from the University of Oregon-Eugene, his M.A. in theatre directing from Middlesex University in London and B.A. in Integral Studies from California Institute of Integral Studies. Stephen also completed the course in acting with the Drama Studio of London in Berkeley, Calif. Stephen is also currently the artistic director for Theatre Z, a small theatre company in Green Bay.

Originally from Racine, Wis., Stephen spent the last 25 years on the west coast working as an actor, director and theatre administrator.

Professional directing credits include Theatre Z (Green Bay), The Lord Leebrick Theatre (Eugene, Oregon) and The New Conservatory Theatre Center (San Francisco, California)
