Susan Ashley

English as an Additional Language Instructor

Susan Ashley has been an English language instructor at St. Norbert since 2010. Prior to coming to St. Norbert, Susan earned her Bachelor of Science degree in human development and a professional teaching degree with both math and science teaching minors. After completing her TESOL certification, Susan went on to obtain her Master of Education in Learning and Technology with an emphasis on English language learners at the college level. Using these acquired skills, she has piloted both hybrid and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for English learners. Besides working with international students, Susan has taken a lead role with the No Borders Virtual Realty (VR) Room for students and faculty.

Before joining SNC fulltime, Susan worked as a multi-grade teacher, a reading instructor and a language arts educator. She has also served as an educational advisor for NASA’s SLI program for a local high school rocket team.
