A Statement from the Office of Admission

“Let us love one another.” These simple words, by St. Norbert College founder Abbot Pennings, have guided the way the college community treats others and the values we work to instill in each and every student who graces our campus. As the office of admission, we recognize the important role we play in demonstrating those values to prospective students and their families and in implementing recruitment strategies that ensure the admission process is inclusive and accessible to all students.

Our team is deeply saddened by the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and so many others who have lost their lives unjustly, both in recent months and over the course of so many years of systemic racism in our country. Like our Norbertine founders, we are called to be “contemplatives in action,” putting our convictions about justice into concrete action to help create a more just world.

Moving forward, we pledge to listen with full hearts and further dedicate ourselves to recruiting and improving access for students of color, and to be allies for social justice. It is our responsibility as a team, and as an institution, to create a community where all feel safe, welcome, valued and loved.
