St. Norbert Blitzes UW-Oshkosh

DE PERE - St. Norbert College led from start to finish en route to handily posting a 62-40 win over UW-Oshkosh in a non-conference tilt at Schuldes Sports Center. The Green Knights won their fourth consecutive game to improve to 6-1, while Oshkosh dropped to 4-5.

The Green Knights led 30-15 at halftime, and after Oshkosh scored on its first possession to start the second half the Green Knights took command of the game. St. Norbert went on a 22-4 run over the next 10 minutes to take a 52-21 lead with 9:55 left in the game. Morgan Strasser had nine of St. Norbert's points during the run before finishing with a game-high 15 points.

St. Norbert shot 40 percent from the field, making 24 of 60 field goals and held a slim 37-35 rebounding advantage. Seven St. Norbert players finished with at least six points and six different players had at least four rebounds.

Oshkosh shot 32.7 percent from the floor, making 16 of 49 field goals. The Titans shot just 25 percent in the first half. Erin Baganz scored a team-high 14 points while Whitney Tyriver added 10 points.

St. Norbert has now beaten a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team for the fifth-straight year and in six of the last seven years.
