School-Record Round of 302 Leads St. Norbert Charge to Fifth at Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational

HARTFORD - St. Norbert College fired a school-record round of 302 on the second day of the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational to end up taking fifth at the 15-school meet held at Washington County Golf Course.

The Green Knights finished with a 622, shooting a 320 on the first day and a red-hot 302 on day two. The Green Knights' total was 19 strokes behind meet champion Aurora University's 603. Lawrence University's John Pechan, behind a second-round 64, won the individual title with a 3-under par 141.

B.J. O'Brien led the St. Norbert quintet with a 77-74--151 to finish in a tie for eighth place. O'Brien had four birdies and six bogeys in his round. Jacob Hebbard finished in a tie for 17th place with a 77-77--154, and Joe Hansen placed in a tie for 25th with an 82-74--156.

Nic Vrubley was tied for 39th with an 84-77--161, while Kevin Hogan was tied for 58th with a 91-81--172.

A total of 74 golfers completed the 36 holes.
