St. Norbert Tops Beloit in Last Match at Minahan Complex

DE PERE - St. Norbert College closed out the Minahan Stadium Complex in style with a 3-0 Midwest Conference win over Beloit College.

The Green Knights, playing their last-ever match at its original home field before moving for good into Schneider Stadium, took a 2-0 lead at halftime in improving to 4-8 overall and 2-3 in the MWC. Beloit fell to 5-6, 1-4.

Mike Burmesch added to his team-high goal total with his seventh marker of the year, scoring unassisted at the 21 minutes 29 seconds mark. Eric Natwick scored for the third time this season off an assist from Jeremy Hulyk at 32:22.

Petro Czerniak scored his second goal of the year at 54:33 off an assist from Kevin Conrath to salt the match away.

Beloit held a 7-6 shots advantage and also had a 7-5 edge in corner kicks but St. Norbert was able to cash in on its scoring chances. Noah Davis made two saves to pitch the shutout for St. Norbert, while Michael Kreiser had one stop for the Buccaneers.
