APPLETON - St. Norbert College extended its winning streak to seven games with a 4-1 win over Marian University at the NCHA/MCHA Thanksgiving Showcase at the Appleton Family Ice Center.

The Green Knights, ranked No. 3 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll, now stand at 9-1 on the year. Marian dropped to 5-4.

St. Norbert took a 2-0 lead in the first period. Mike Bernardy's blast from the high slot at the 8-minute mark gave the Green Knights a power-play goal. Scott Pulak netted his first score of the year at 17:29 when his work in front of the crease beat Marian netminder Josh Baker.

Following a scoreless second period, the Sabres cut the deficit to 2-1 when Brendan Roberts scored at the 7:14 mark of the third. St. Norbert then applied heavy offensive pressure after the goal, and Cody Keefer's redirect of a Taylor Langford drive at 12:58 put the Green Knights ahead 3-1. Reid Campbell added an empty-net goal with 17 seconds left for his first collegiate marker.

Kyle Stroh had two assists for St. Norbert, and Keefer added an assist on Bernardy's goal to also give him a multi-point game.

St. Norbert was 1-for-3 on the power play, and its disciplined play did not allow for Marian to get on the man advantage during the game. The Green Knights had just two penalties, coming on matching minors in the second and third periods.

B.J. O'Brien made 23 saves for St. Norbert, which outshot Marian 38-24. Baker made 34 stops for the Sabres, including 17 in the third period.
