Green Knights Skate to Scoreless Tie With Yellowjackets

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College skated to its first scoreless tie in program history in a second game of a two-game Northern Collegiate Hockey Association series against UW-Superior.

The Green Knights are 7-9-3 overall and 4-7-3 in the NCHA, while Superior is 11-3-4 and 9-1-4.

St. Norbert commanded play in the first period, outshooting Superior 9-2. The Yellowjackets buzzed back with an 11-5 advantage in the second period but couldn't score.

St. Norbert had six power-play chances in the first 46 minutes of the game, and Superior had three in the last 19 - including one in the final two minutes of regulation and one full chance in overtime. Superior finished 0-for-4 on the power play.

Superior outshot St. Norbert 22-19. Kaley Gibson made 22 saves for the Green Knights, while Amy Torgerson made 19 stops for the Yellowjackets.
