Green Knights Second at St. Norbert Invitational

WRIGHTSTOWN - St. Norbert College placed second out of seven teams at the St. Norbert Invitational held at the par-72 Royal St. Patrick's Golf Course.

The Green Knights carded a 322, 23 strokes behind champion Viterbo University's 299. The St. Norbert B team was fourth with a 351. Viterbo's Derrick Meier was the medalist with a one-under 71.

Jacob Hebbard finished fourth with a team-best 77 for St. Norbert. Nic Vrubley was tied for fifth with a 79. Brandon Gries and B.J. O'Brien tied for 10th with 83s, while Joe Hansen was 31st with a 97.

Shawn Geier led the St. Norbert B squad with an 84 to finish 13th. Ryan Clark was 15th with an 87, while Joe Stempski and Ben Vendl tied for 20th with 90s. Kevin Hogan was 27th with a 93. Drew Cook was 28th with a 94 and Alex Leithieser was 29th with a 95.
