DE PERE - St. Norbert College picked up a sweep of Beloit College in a Midwest Conference doubleheader by scores of 9-0 and 9-1 on Senior Day at Mel Nicks Field.

The Green Knights end MWC North Division play 10-3 and are 17-14 overall. St. Norbert needs one Ripon loss in the Red Hawks' doubleheader with Lawrence on Monday to clinch hosting duties for the MWC Tournament.

St. Norbert scored four times in the third inning and five times in the fourth to post the win in the opener. Steph Brunette scored on a wild pitch, Kayla Krueger had an RBI single and Kari Corbeille had a two-run single in the third inning.

In the fourth inning, Morgan Buboltz had a bases-loaded walk to force in a run and Jessica Kropp followed with a grand slam into the teeth of a strong wind for a 9-0 lead.

Kari Corbeille threw a two-hit shutout for the Green Knights, walking one with six strikeouts. Corbeille and Brittany Narges were both 2-for-2.

In the nightcap, St. Norbert again relied on the longball with Buboltz pounding a first-inning grand slam for her sixth home run of the season. The round-tripper matches Narges' and Brieanne Oehlke's school record of six.

The Green Knights answered with four more in the third inning on a pair of two-run home runs by Kropp and Brunette. Brunette singled in the final run in the fifth.

Brunette finished 3-for-3 with three RBIs, while Buboltz was 2-for-2 with four RBIs. Krueger picked up the win, allowing five hits with one walk and five strikeouts.
