DE PERE - Matt Keesey has been named St. Norbert College's head men's tennis coach athletics director Tim Bald announced.

Keesey, a 2010 graduate of UW-Green Bay, was a four-year letterwinner with the NCAA Division I Phoenix and later served as an assistant coach for two seasons. Keesey posted a 36-44 singles mark and a 34-47 doubles record with Green Bay, and was 11-10 in both singles and doubles as a senior. He was also a team captain with Green Bay.

"Having played at UW-Green Bay and then staying in the area, Matt is familiar with who we are and what we are about as an institution and athletics department," Bald said. "We look forward to Matt leading the program."

Keesey, a Northfield, Minn., native, was also a tennis instructor at the Edina (Minn.) Country Club for six years, teaching private lessions as well as coordinating junior group lessons.

Keesey replaces Adam Albertsen, who recently accepted the head men's and women's tennis coaching positions at Adrian College.
