Green Knights Drop Season Opener at Concordia

MEQUON - St. Norbert College dropped its 2011 season opener with a 2-0 non-conference loss to Concordia University Wisconsin at Fitting Field.

The Green Knights fell behind 2-0 in the first 18 minutes. The Falcons' Victor Mendoza scored 2 minutes 48 seconds into the match, and Kyle Sytsma followed with a marker at 17:24. Concordia outshot St. Norbert 15-1 in the first half.

St. Norbert was outshot 24-4 for the game. Trevor Scales, Michael Salm, Sam Gordon and Marc Popp were able to get shots off for the Green Knights.

Noah Davis made eight stops in net for St. Norbert, while Daniel Boklewski made one save for Concordia, which also had a 10-1 edge in corner kicks.
