Green Knights Finish Third at Northern Illinois Invite

DeKALB, Ill. - St. Norbert College had a successful race against NCAA Division I competition when the Green Knights placed third out of nine teams at the Northern Illinois University Huskie Open.

The Green Knights' 111 points was just enough to eke past Creighton University's 112 points for third. Northwestern University won the meet with 23 points, while St. Louis University was second with 52. Other Division I schools competing were Northern Illinois and the University of Illinois-Chicago. St. Louis' Hilary Orf won the meet in 17:47. A total of 114 runners competed.

Mackenzie Weber led St. Norbert with a 15th-place finish in 19:22. Kelsey Timm finished in 29th in 20:05, followed by Amanda Whipple's 38th-place showing in 20:26. Hannah Andrekus was 43rd in 20:42 and Emily Schudrowitz followed in 48th in 21:03.

Emily Erickson was 52nd in 21:12, followed by Erin McShea in 53rd place in 21:22 to complete St. Norbert's scoring.
