Vrubley Leads St. Norbert at Ripon Invitational

BERLIN - St. Norbert College sophomore Nic Vrubley claimed medalist honors at the Ripon College Co-Ed Invitational held at Mascoutin Golf Course.

Vrubley fired a 76-75--151 to finish 7-over par over the 36-hole event which left him tied with Viterbo University's Shawn Keenan. Vrubley won the tiebreaker with his second-round score of 75, which was three strokes better than Keenan's. Vrubley's round was also the Green Knights' best round of the season to date.

The Green Knights finished fourth out of seven teams, shooting a 332-322--654. Viterbo won the meet with a 302-309--611.

Evan Mass finished in an 11th-place tie with an 81-76--157, while Jacob Hebbard was 22nd with an 84-84--168. Kevin Hogan was 32nd with a 91-87--178, while Erik Voss was 35th with 93-94--187.
