DE PERE - St. Norbert College's first Midwest Conference game of the season ended in a 1-1 tie with Monmouth College at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights took an early 1-0 lead when goalkeeper Noah Davis boomed a long punt ahead into the Monmouth defensive zone, and Trevor Scales got behind the defense and buried his second goal of the year 18 minutes 43 seconds into the match.

St. Norbert (0-6-1, 0-0-1 MWC) held that lead until Monmouth's Devin Freitag knotted the game at 1-1 at the 52:19 mark.

Neither team had a good scoring chance in the two overtime periods.

Monmouth (2-4-1, 0-0-1 MWC) outshot St. Norbert 18-15 but the Green Knights had the edge in corner kicks 4-2. Davis finished the match with 10 saves, while Matt Schmidt made seven stops for Monmouth.
