St. Norbert Ekes Past Farleigh Dickinson-Florham

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The St. Norbert College men's tennis team got its spring break trip to Hilton Head off to a good start with a tight 5-4 win over Farleigh Dickinson University-Florham.

Adrian Acosta's win at No. 3 singles proved to be the difference. Acosta picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win over John Zalesky to tip the result in the Green Knights' favor.

St. Norbert also won two other singles matches. Eric Koppmann beat Sid Dunn 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and Nate Tackaberry beat Wes Harnett 6-2, 6-4 at No. 6 singles.

The Green Knights also picked up two of three doubles matches. Chris Schmitz and Mike Hyrczyk beat Zalesky and Andrew Scamporino 8-4 at No. 2 doubles. Koppmann and Tackaberry followed with an 8-2 in at No. 3 doubles over Dunn and Joe Li.
