Green Knights Fall Again to UW-Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College suffered a series sweep at the hands of UW-Stevens Point with a 2-1 loss in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Ice Hawks Arena.

The Green Knights fell to 4-6 overall and 3-4 in the NCHA. Stevens Point is 5-2-1, 4-2.

The Pointers took a 2-0 lead after two periods. Cassandra Salem scored at 15:19 of the first period, followed by Ariel Novak's power-play goal at 17:35 of the second period.

St. Norbert got on the board at 3:50 of the third period on an Andrea Senne marker with Henriette Ostergaard assisting. The Green Knights had four power-play chances after that to tie the game but couldn't knock the equalizer home.

Stevens Point outshot St. Norbert 27-23. The Green Knights were 0-for-6 on the power play while the Pointers were 1-for-4. Katie Aluia made 25 saves for St. Norbert, while Janna Beilke-Skoug made 22 stops for Stevens Point.
