St. Norbert Shutout at UW-River Falls

RIVER FALLS - St. Norbert College finished the first half of the 2011-12 season with a 3-0 shutout loss to UW-River Falls in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Hunt Arena.

The Falcons (10-1-1, 9-1 NCHA), ranked No. 7 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll, scored two goals in the second period to pull away from the Green Knights (4-8, 3-6). Kait Mason scored a power-play marker at the 3 minutes 32 seconds mark, followed by a Darion Bruyere power-play goal at 16:07.

Alice Cranston's third-period goal at 10:50 provided the final margin for the Falcons.

River Falls outshot St. Norbert 41-20. The Falcons were 2-for-5 on the power play, while the Green Knights were 0-for-6. Ashley Kuechle made 20 saves for River Falls, while Kaley Gibson made 38 stops for St. Norbert.
