KISSIMMEE, Fla. - St. Norbert College split a pair of games on its third day of playing at the Rebel Spring Games. The Green Knights lost to unbeaten and 14th-ranked Rowan University 2-0 before topping Mount St. Joseph University 4-3.

The Green Knights (1-5) scored four times in the third inning against the Lions to rally from a 3-0 first-inning deficit. Ashtin Schmechel doubled in two runs to get the rally started. With two outs, Schmechel and Abby Gildernick both came around to score on an error.

The lead would hold up despite some tense moments in the seventh inning. The Lions placed runners at second and third with two outs in the seventh but St. Norbert pitcher Shannen Schmidt coaxed a fly ball to end the game.

Schmidt scattered six hits - three after the first inning - with one walk and six strikeouts. Brittany Narges was 2-for-4 for St. Norbert.

Against Rowan (10-0), the Profs' Jamie Minix twirled a two-hit shutout, walking two and striking out 11. Morgan Rusch took the complete-game loss for St. Norbert, allowing four hits with six walks and three strikeouts.
