Green Knights Pick Up Win Over Knox

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College won its first dual match of the season with an 8-1 non-conference win over Knox College at Western Racquet and Fitness Club.

The Green Knights (1-1) swept the three doubles points before picking up five of six wins in singles action.

Nancy Chybowski and Maria Slusarek beat Dana Pierce and Charlotte Garvin 8-2 at No. 1 doubles, while Ariel Bloniarz and Maggie Berens defeated Emily Tyl and Aimee Neilan 8-1 at No. 2. Laura Michel and Lizzy Tews topped Sarah Bolitho and Emiley Brand 8-1 at No. 3.

Chybowski defeated Dana Pierce 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1, while Slusarek beat Tyl 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3. Tews defeated Neilan 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4, while Berens beat Bolitho 6-1, 6-4 at No. 5. The Green Knights rounded out their wins with a 6-2, 6-1 win by Brittany Dudzik over Brand at the No. 6 flight.
