Green Knights Remain Unbeaten With Rally Past Clarke

KENOSHA - St. Norbert College remained unbeaten by scoring two goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation time to pull out a 3-2 win over Clarke University in the Battle on the Border Tournament at Carthage College's Art Keller Field.

Tommy Purdom scored in the 81st minute and David Jacobson followed in the 87th minute to lift the Green Knights (3-0-1) from a 2-1 deficit and turn it into a hard-fought victory.

Clarke (1-1) took a 1-0 lead when Aaron Calkins scored at 24:17, but Trevor Scales answered to knot the game at 1-1 with a marker at 33:00 with Taylor Pasterski assisting.

Clarke's Dino Ramic scored at 70:00 to give the Crusaders a 2-1 lead, but the Green Knights answered with Purdom's first goal of the year and Jacobson's second. Jacobson assisted on Purdom's goal, while Jake Antoniewicz assisted on Jacobson's marker.

Clarke outshot St. Norbert 12-5 and had a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks. Noah Davis made three saves in net for the Green Knights.
