KENOSHA - St. Norbert College stayed undefeated and untied with a 1-0 win over Clarke College in the Battle on the Border Tournament at Carthage College's Art Keller Field.

The Green Knights (4-0) got the only goal they would need at the 14 minutes 15 seconds mark when Katie Vanden Avond scored unassisted. It was Vanden Avond's ninth goal of the season and the 35th of her career in just 24 games.

Vanden Avond posted six of St. Norbert's eight shots, with Kaitlyn Schmitz and Brittany Kosobucki each getting one shot.

Clarke outshot St. Norbert 15-8 but Sarah Platzer made five saves to record the shutout, her first of the season.
