Green Knights Breeze Past Buccaneers

BELOIT - St. Norbert College remained unbeaten in the Midwest Conference with a 4-0 win over Beloit College at the Strong Stadium Complex.

The Green Knights (8-1-1, 3-0 MWC) jumped out to a 3-0 lead at halftime and cruised from there. St. Norbert outshot Beloit 14-5, including 11-4 in the first half.

St. Norbert took a 1-0 lead at the 12:17 mark when Katie Vanden Avond scored unassisted. Zoe Kurth netted her second goal of the year at 18:05, also unassisted. The Green Knights pushed ahead 3-0 on Maddie Packard's first goal of the season at 41:44.

Vanden Avond finished off the scoring with a penalty kick at 59 minutes. The goal was Vanden Avond's 18th of the season.

Sarah Platzer worked 82 minutes in goal for the Green Knights, making three saves.
