Green Knights Extinguish Prairie Fire

DE PERE - St. Norbert College put forth another efficient performance with a 3-0 Midwest Conference win over Knox College at Schuldes Sports Center's Connie Tilley Court. The Green Knights swept the Prairie Fire 25-9, 25-13, 25-16.

The Green Knights won their ninth-straight match to improve to 21-7 overall and 7-0 in the MWC. Knox dropped to 2-26, 0-7.

St. Norbert hit .382 for the match, connecting for 42 kills in 89 attempts with eight errors. Heidi Spies had 11 kills with no errors in 15 attempts, while Mary Kate Manion had 10 kills with two errors in 19 attempts. Danielle Remy added eight kills with no errors in 17 attempts.

Abby West finished with 20 assists, while Kaitlin Delahaut added 12 assists. Manion and Catherine Guido both finished with 10 digs.

St. Norbert closes out the regular season next week with the home finale Tuesday against Lawrence. The Green Knights then travel to Iowa for a match at Grinnell on Friday and a key tilt at Cornell on Saturday.
