BELOIT - St. Norbert College scored touchdowns on its first six possessions en route to a 42-7 win over Beloit College in a Midwest Conference game at Strong Stadium.

The Green Knights (6-2, 6-1 MWC) built a 42-0 lead midway through the second quarter to take control of the game. St. Norbert can clinch a share of the MWC title with wins in its last two games - at Grinnell College next week and home against first-place Lake Forest College on Nov. 10.

Beloit (0-9, 0-8 MWC) fumbled on the second play from scrimmage and Austin Arts collected the ball at the Buccaneers' 15-yard line and scampered in for the touchdown. St. Norbert forced a three-and-out and then took a 14-0 lead on an Austin Williams 7-yard touchdown run.

The Green Knights got another stop and Brad Boockmeier scored on a 3-yard touchdown run at the 5:19 mark of the first period for a 21-0 lead. Boockmeier added another touchdown on the next series on a 14-yard run with 1:57 left in the quarter. St. Norbert led 28-0 at the end of the first quarter.

St. Norbert scored on its first two series of the second quarter to put the game away. James Tringali found Brian Fliess on a 22-yard touchdown pass at the 11:03 mark, and Jacob Dault rushed 10 yards for a touchdown with 6:17 left before halftime.

Beloit scored the second half's only points when Lukeson Versulien scored on a 12-yard touchdown run with 5:16 left in the third quarter.

St. Norbert outgained Beloit 414-244, with 302 yards coming on the ground. Williams rushed 12 times for 136 yards and one touchdown, while Boockmeier added 98 yards on 14 carries with two touchdowns.

Beloit quarterback Lucas McLeran completed 15 of 29 passes for 149 yards with one interception.
