DE PERE - St. Norbert College had a perfect night on the power play and used that as the impetus to a 7-1 win over UW-River Falls in a battle of nationally ranked opponents in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at the Cornerstone Community Center.

The Green Knights (5-1, 3-0 NCHA), ranked No. 3 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll, trailed 1-0 late in the second period before getting two goals late in that stanza to take a 2-1 lead. St. Norbert then pumped in five third-period goals to cap off the blowout.

Kyle Stroh scored his fifth goal of the year at 16:21 of the second period, and Cody Keefer put the Green Knights ahead with a power-play goal at 19:28 for a 2-1 edge.

Brandon Hoogenboom gave the Green Knights a 3-1 lead at 2:44 of the third period by finishing top shelf on a breakout. Keefer then scored again at 4:22 on another power-play goal, and Mason Baptista made it 5-1 with a power-play goal at 6:00. Joe Perry then scored when he redirected a shot at 13:28, and Erik Cooper scored a power-play goal at 17:32 to finish off a pretty backdoor pass.

Stroh added two assists to give him a three-point night, while Sam Higgins had three assists.

David Jacobson made 21 saves to lead the Green Knights, while Scott Lewan made 37 stops for the Falcons. St. Norbert was 4-for-4 on the power play, while the Falcons were 0-for-2.
