St. Norbert Drops Defensive Battle

RIPON - St. Norbert College made just 35 percent of its field-goal attempts and dropped a defensive struggle by a 49-43 score to Ripon College in a Midwest Conference game at Storzer Center.

St. Norbert connected on just 14 of 40 field-goal attempts, and scored only five points in the last six minutes of the game. The Green Knights held a 38-35 lead following a pair of Tasha Giese free throws with 6:25 remaining, but Ripon's Erin Lind put the Red Hawks ahead to stay with a hoop with 4:23 to go.

The Green Knights (9-4, 6-2 MWC) were led in scoring with 14 points from Megan Doody, the only player to reach double figures.

Ripon (5-9, 4-5) got 15 points from Kacie Cullen, 14 from Lind and 10 from Jill Van Eperen.
