St. Norbert Runs Winning Streak to 11

GALESBURG, Ill. - St. Norbert College got off to a fast start and used it as the impetus behind its 11th consecutive win as the Green Knights rolled to an 82-59 Midwest Conference win over Knox College at Memorial Gym.

The Green Knights (14-3, 11-2 MWC) jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first four minutes of the game. The Prairie Fire (1-16, 1-11) cut the deficit down to two at 17-15, but the Green Knights went on a 13-4 run - fueled by a pair of Jeremy Paprocki 3-pointers - to take a 30-19 lead.

Knox got back to within nine at 33-24, but St. Norbert went on a 13-2 run the last four minutes of the half. Paprocki's 3-pointer just before halftime gave the Green Knights a 46-26 lead at intermission.

St. Norbert has continued its solid shooting from the floor, shooting 52.5 percent (32-for-61) from the field. Andrew Schwoerer finished with 16 points and seven rebounds, both team highs. Paul Appleton added 13 points, while Garrett Thorn finished with 10 points. Paprocki and Izaiah Anderson had nine points apiece.

Knox shot 35.8 percent (19-for-53) from the floor. Lukas Shaw was the only Prairie Fire cager to register scoring in double figures at 15 points.
