DE PERE - St. Norbert College won for the 12th consecutive time overall and also claimed its eighth straight win over Lawrence University as the Green Knights claimed a 68-54 win over the Vikings in a Midwest Conference game on Connie Tilley Court at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights improved to 15-3 overall and 12-2 in the MWC heading into a non-conference game at No. 15-ranked and defending national champion UW-Whitewater Saturday in Whitewater. St. Norbert's current winning streak is the fourth longest in school history.

The game was not without a few tense moments, as the Vikings (8-10, 6-7 MWC) used a 10-0 lead early to build a six-point lead. The Green Knights clawed their way back into the game and trailed by just a 28-27 margin at halftime.

The score continued to see-saw in the early moments of the second half until 3-pointers by Austin Elliott and Jeremy Paprocki gave St. Norbert a 46-39 lead with 11:40 remaining. St. Norbert slowly extended its lead by holding the Vikings to two points over a 5-minute stretch, turning a 52-44 lead with 9:41 left into a 65-46 advantage with 4:58 to go.

Andrew Schwoerer paced the Green Knights by recording his first career double-double, netting 18 points while collecting 13 rebounds. Garrett Thorn was the only other St. Norbert player to reach double figures with 13 points. Brandon Gries added nine points and seven rebounds. St. Norbert shot 41.0 percent (25-for-61) from the floor and held a commanding 50-25 rebound advantage over the Vikings.

Conor Klusendorf led the Vikings with 15 points, while Chris Siebert added 13 points. The Vikings shot 34 percent from the floor, making just 17 of 50 field-goal attempts. Lawrence was 10-for-31 (32.3 percent) from beyond the three-point arc.
