Gries Named Second-Team All-Midwest Region by NABC

DE PERE - St. Norbert College junior guard Brandon Gries was named a second-team All-Midwest Region selection by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

The all-region honor is the second this season for Gries, who was named a third-team All-Midwest Region honoree by D3hoops.com last week.

Gries, a Kiel native and a graduate of Kiel High School, led the Green Knights in scoring this season at 14.5 points per game. Gries, who was named first-team All-Midwest Conference for the second consecutive year, also led the Green Knights in assists with 95 and averaged 4.0 rebounds per game.

Gries enters his senior season with 832 career points in 76 games, an average of 10.9 points per game.

St. Norbert finished 20-6 this season and won the Midwest Conference regular-season and tournament titles. The Green Knights lost in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament to Wheaton College 59-58 on March 2.
