Green Knights Fall Twice to Open Spring Season

MADISON - St. Norbert College opened the spring portion of its women's tennis season with a pair of losses to St. Mary's University and Edgewood College at Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The Green Knights lost to St. Mary's 6-3 and Edgewood 5-4.

St. Norbert (6-11) earned one doubles point against the Cardinals, with Ariel Bloniarz and Lizzy Tews defeating Lexi Felten and Grace Zachman 8-5. Nancy Chybowski defeated Kristen Hoffmann 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and Emily Rasmussen added a 6-1, 5-7, 10-7 win over Felten at No. 3.

Against Edgewood, St. Norbert earned two doubles points. Chybowski and Maria Slusarek topped Laura Olsen and Anna Miles 8-6 at No. 1, followed by an 8-6 win by Tews and Maria Dzurik over Kristen Boone and Sarah Rendon.

Chybowski earned a win at No. 1 singles with a 3-6, 7-5, 10-7 win over Morgan Wilson. Slusarek defeated Miles 7-5, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.
