St. Norbert Finishes Ninth at Marian Invite

WAUKESHA - St. Norbert College placed eighth out of 13 teams at the Marian University Spring Invitational hosted at Morningside Golf Club.

The Green Knights completed the 36-hole event with a score of 318-314--632 for their eighth-place showing. The St. Norbert "B" squad finished in tenth place with a score of 339-318--657. Carthage College won the meet with a 10-under par score of 279-287--566. Carthage's Donnie Langland was the medalist with a 7-under par score of 67-70--137.

Corey Carlson, competing for the "B" squad, led St. Norbert's golfers with a tie for tenth place. Carlson shot a 78-72--150. Jacob Hebbard finished in a tie for 18th place with a 79-75--154. Nic Vrubley was tied for 21st with a 78-77--155.

Brandon Gries and Nick Mueller finished tied for 37th. Gries carded an 83-79--162, and Mueller had a 79-83--162. Evan Mass rounded out the St. Norbert five with an 82-88--170 to finish in a tie for 47th.

Joe Hansen finished in 42nd for the "B" with an 82-81--163. Ben Verbeten was tied for 47th with an 88-82--170, and Nick Roelse was in 51st with a 91-83--174. Ben Socha was tied for 56th with a 94-83--177.
