DE PERE - St. Norbert College gave regionally ranked Carthage College a solid effort but the visiting Red Men came away with a 1-0 non-conference win over the Green Knights at Schneider Stadium.

Carthage (4-2), ranked tenth in the NSCAA's Division III Central Rankings, got its only goal at the 61:53 mark when Ryan Crane slid a ball in from about 15 yards out for his first marker of the season. The Red Men's Austin Bitta assisted.

St. Norbert (1-3) had a chance to tie the game in the 66th minute, but Sam Lamers' breakaway was turned away by Carthage goalkeeper Nicholas Huftalin.

Carthage outshot St. Norbert 24-2. Scott Faul made nine saves to keep the Green Knights in the game, including several difficult chances. Huftalin made only one save for Carthage.
