Green Knights Power Past Cornell, UW-Oshkosh

OSHKOSH - St. Norbert College continued its red-hot start to the season with a pair of dual-meet wins at UW-Oshkosh's Kolf Sports Center Complex. The Green Knights topped Cornell College 9-0 before defeating Oshkosh 6-3 to improve to 7-1 on the season, including 3-0 against Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foes.

St. Norbert got three wins in singles play against Oshkosh from players who all improved to 8-0 in singles action this season. Erika Chitko posted a 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 win over Brianna Theobald at No. 2. Elizabeth Manlick then topped Valerie Langkau 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3. Katherine Ake followed with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-7 (5-7), 10-3 win over Erica Van Riper at No. 4.

Anna Gosz earned the Green Knights' other singles win with a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over Jessica Stark at No. 6.

Manlick and Ashley Randazzo topped Theobald and Langkau 8-5 at No. 2 doubles, while Ake and Maggie Berens tipped Hannah Bostwick and Andrea Larson 8-3 at No. 3 doubles.

Against Cornell, Manlick finished with a notable 6-0, 6-0 win over Anne Seng at No. 3 singles. Ariel Bloniarz had a 6-1, 6-0 win over Heather Schrauth at No. 5. Nancy Chybowski claimed a 1-6, 7-5, 10-0 win over Ariana Hudson at No. 1.

Chybowski and Chitko defeated Hudson and Shashanna Moll 9-7 at No. 1 doubles.
