DE PERE - St. Norbert College wasted little time taking control and gained a 6-0 win over Knox College in a Midwest Conference match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (9-3-2, 5-1 MWC) pumped in five first-half goals to douse the Prairie Fire's chances. St. Norbert outshot Knox (6-8, 0-6 MWC) by a 34-0 margin.

Katie Vanden Avond opened the scoring with a natural hat trick, tallying goals in the 14th, 17th and 25th minute. Vanden Avond, who leads the NCAA Division III in goals scored, now has 25 markers in 14 games this season.

Hanna Klecka notched her first goal of the season with a score at 29:57. The Green Knights then went ahead 5-0 with the Prairie Fire committed an own goal at 30:27.

Shannon Jung scored the second half's only goal at 50:17, her fourth of the season.
