St. Norbers Sweeps Lawrence

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College closed out an impressive regular season with 9-0 win over Lawrence University in a Midwest Conference North Division match at Western Racquet and Fitness Club.

The Green Knights (15-1, 4-0 MWC North) got a shutout win at No. 3 doubles from Katherine Ake and Maggie Berens, who topped Kathleen Frankel and Allison Juda 8-0. Nancy Chybowski and Erika Chitko topped Hannah Geoffrey and Ali Heiring 8-6 at No. 1 doubles, while Ashley Randazzo and Elizabeth Manlick defeated Gayatri Malhotra and Polly Dalton 8-6 at No. 2.

Ariel Bloniarz claimed a 6-0, 6-1 triumph over Dalton at No. 5 singles, while Brittany Dudzik topped Melissa Heeren 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6. Manlick trimmed Heiring 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3. Ake picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win over Frankel at No. 4.

Chybowski earned a win over Malhotra at No. 1 by scores of 6-4, 7-6 (7-2). Chitko needed three sets to get by Geoffrey at No. 2, winning 4-6, 6-4, 10-7.
