Green Knights Rout Carroll

WAUKESHA - St. Norbert College won for the sixth time in its last seven matches with an impressive 5-1 win over Carroll University in a Midwest Conference match at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (10-3-1, 6-1 MWC) led 1-0 at halftime and then charged away with four second-half goals to eventually take a 5-0 lead.
Maddie Packard put St. Norbert ahead with a goal at the 40:20 mark for the important first goal.
The Green Knights exploded in the second half. Zoe Kurth scored at 46:36, and Katie Vanden Avond followed at 59:15 for a 3-0 lead. Kellan Zimmer scored at 65:46, and Vanden Avond finished against at 75:07 for a 5-0 advantage. Vanden Avond now has 27 goals on the season.
Eliane Sauve scored a consolation goal for the Pioneers at 77:18.
St. Norbert outshot Carroll 14-6. Sarah Platzer made four saves for the Green Knights, while Erica Patterson made four saves for the Pioneers.
