Green Knights Blanked at Ripon

RIPON - St. Norbert College was shutout for only the second time this season as the the Green Knights lost 1-0 to Ripon College in a Midwest Conference match at a rain-soaked Prairie Field.

The Green Knights (12-4-2, 8-2 MWC) had already clinched the Midwest Conference title on Sunday, but the win keeps the Red Hawks (10-6-1, 5-3-1) alive for a possible MWC Tournament berth next weekend in De Pere.

St. Norbert controlled most of the play, outshooting Ripon 23-6 - including 15-4 in the second half. Ripon broke the stalemate on a goal by Brandi Peltier at 73:38.

Ripon goalkeeper Sidney Blodgett made 16 saves to post the shutout. Sarah Platzer had four stops for the Green Knights.
