Two Spikers Earn All-Midwest Conference Honors

DE PERE - St. Norbert College placed two players on the All-Midwest Conference women's volleyball teams released today by the conference office.

St. Norbert junior middle hitter Heidi Spies earned first-team All-MWC accolades, while junior outside hitter Breanne Brocker earned second-team laurels.

Spies finished the season with a .278 hitting percentage, totaling 340 kills in 872 attempts with 98 errors in 114 sets played, n average of 2.98 kills per set. She also finished with team-highs in blocks (97) and service aces (45).

Brocker ended the season with a .184 hitting percentage, netting 256 kills with 92 errors in 890 attempts. Brocker was second on the team in digs with 446, an average of 4.09 per game. She also had 34 blocks and 28 service aces.

For the second consecutive season, Cornell College's Kathleen O'Connor was named MWC Player of the Year and Cornell's Jeff Meeker was named Coach of the Year.
