St. Norbert Pushes Unbeaten Streak to Seven

FOND DU LAC - St. Norbert College improved to 6-0-1 in its last seven games with a 4-2 win over Marian University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Blue Line Ice Center.
The Green Knights (11-5-2, 6-4-1 NCHA) outshot the Sabres (4-11-1, 3-7) by a 36-22 margin to claim the victory.
St. Norbert scored the first period's only goal on a Taylor Giacin score at the 5:57 mark of the frame. It was Giacin's second goal of the season.
The Green Knights took a 2-0 lead at the 10:54 mark of the second period when Henriette Ostergaard scored. Marian answered at 14:01 with a goal by Paige Picard, and St. Norbert took a 2-1 lead into second intermission.
St. Norbert pulled ahead with a pair of third-period power-play goals. Andrea Senne scored her fifth goal of the season at 2:41, while Ostergaard scored her seventh of the year at 5:23. Marian closed out the scoring with a power-play goal by Jessie Meluch at 16:56.
Zoe Kurth and Laurel Hill each had two assists. Senne added an assist for a two-point game.
Katie Aluia made 20 saves for the Green Knights. Ali Glazer turned away 32 shots for Marian. St. Norbert was 2-for-3 on the power play, while Marian was 1-for-7.
