Green Knights Finish Off Sweep of Marian

FOND DU LAC - St. Norbert College registered a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association series sweep for the second time in as many weekends as the Green Knights gained a 4-0 win over Marian University at the Blue Line Ice Center.

The Green Knights (12-5-2, 7-4-1 NCHA), who are 7-0-1 in their last eight games, jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period. Lauren Roethlisberger scored a power-play goal at 7:24, and Henriette Ostergaard netted a goal at 8:46.

St. Norbert boosted its lead to 3-0 when Roethlisberger scored her second goal of the game and seventh of the season at 11:01 of the second period. The Green Knights scored their final goal at 12:48 of the third period on Danielle Rozon's first goal of the season.

Andrea Senne record two assists for the Green Knights' only other multi-point game.

St. Norbert outshot Marian 45-31. Kaley Gibson made 31 saves to post the shutout for the Green Knights. Amanda Alexander made 41 stops for the Sabres. St. Norbert was 1-for-8 on the power play, while Marian was 0-for-9.
