St. Norbert Blitzes Finlandia

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had a successful evening on its first Senior Night, rolling to an 11-0 win over Finlandia University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (16-6-2, 11-5-1 NCHA) broke open a 1-0 game with six second-period goals. Finlandia saw its season end 1-21, 1-17.

Danielle Rozon scored the first period's lone marker at 16:58 for her fourth goal of the season.

Andrea Senne didn't waste must time boosting the lead early in the second period, scoring an unassisted shorthanded goal at 1:44. Ali Parker scored at 6:33 for a 3-0 lead, and Stephanie Slinde added a power-play goal 17 seconds later. Lauren Roethlisberger's goal at 9:52 pushed the lead to 5-0.

Rozon scored again with a power-play marker at 17:33 of the second, and Parker's unassisted shorthander at 18:16 made it 7-0.

Parker scored the first two goals of the third period, breaking her own school record for quickest goal to start a period at 7 seconds. Parker then matched Henriette Ostergaard's school record for most goals in a game with four with her 15th marker of the season at 15:32. Roethlisberger scored at 17:50 and Taylor Giacin at 18:52 to close out the scoring.

In addition to Parker's four goals, Roethlisberger had two assists to also register a four-point game. Senne had two assists for three points. Myranda Hayes and Laurel Hill both had two assists for two points. Slinde added an assist for a two-point game.

St. Norbert outshot Finlandia 50-21. Katie Aluia made 21 saves to register the shutout for the Green Knights. Breanna Merriam made 39 saves for the Lions. St. Norbert was 2-for-6 on the power play, while Finlandia was 0-for-6.
