Scherer Places Third at Pre-National Invitational

HANOVER, Ind. - Jenny Scherer placed high in another prominent national meet with a third-place showing at the NCAA Division III Pre-National Invitational at Hanover College.

Scherer finished with a time of 21:36 over the 6-kilometer distance. Bethel University's Marie Borner won the championship with a time of 21:24, while UW-River Falls' Becca Jordahl was right behind at 21:38.

The Green Knights placed seventh overall out of 16 teams with 199 points. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology won the championship with 70 points, just ahead of Bethel's 72 points.

Ashley Graybill also fared well for St. Norbert, placing 16th with a run of 23:12. Kelsey Timm placed 50th with a time of 24:39, while Kim Keil was 53rd with a time of 24:48. Megan Domnick completed the scoring with a time of 26:31 to finish 110th.

Also running for the Green Knights were Isabella Benassi (113th, 26:41), Jeni Jobst (150th, 28:04), Melissa Menne (154th, 28:13), Lindsey Novitzke (156th, 28:20) and Hope Kovala (165th, 29:46).

A total of 172 runners competed.
