Three Earn All-Midwest Conference Honors

DE PERE - St. Norbert College placed three women's basketball players on the 2015 All-Midwest Conference team, announced today by the league office.

Sophomore guard Jill Kleiman was the Green Knights' lone first-team selection, while sophomore guard Brianna Byrne and junior center Heidi Van Sistine were second-team choices. St. Norbert coach Connie Tilley garnered her seventh MWC Coach of the Year honor.

Kleiman, a Kewaunee native, is averaging 9.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 3.1 assists per game this season.

Byrne, a De Pere native, is averaging 14.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per game this season and has a made a team-high 30 three-point field goals.

Van Sistine, also a De Pere native, is averaging 11.1 points and a team-high 6.7 rebounds per game while shooting 61.0 percent from the floor.

The Green Knights enter Friday's NCAA Division III Tournament first-round game against Luther College in St. Paul, Minn., at 22-3 overall, and won their fifth MWC championship in six years with a 17-1 league record.
