Green Knights Can't Slow Down Amherst

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - St. Norbert College fell to 6-2 on the season when the Green Knights dropped a 20-7 decision to Amherst College at Chain of Lakes Park.

The Lord Jeffs took a 14-0 lead with four runs in the first inning, five runs in the second inning and five more runs in the fifth inning.

St. Norbert scored four runs in its half of the fifth inning. Troy Rottier had a two-run double and Brandon Kozinski and RBI single in the frame. The Green Knights added a run in the sixth inning on a Tyler Banovich sacrifice fly. St. Norbert scored twice in the seventh on a Hunter Larson RBI single and a double play.

Rottier and Jason Malkowski had two hits apiece. Matt Freeman took the loss, allowing 10 hits and 11 runs in four-plus innings pitched.
