St. Norbert Places Second at Wisconsin Private College Championship

DE PERE - St. Norbert College narrowly missed out on the Wisconsin Private College Track and Field Championship for 2015 when it finished in second place by just four points at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights finished with a whopping 203 points, but that total was shy of Carthage College's 207 points. Ripon College was a distant third with 94 points.

St. Norbert had five different individuals plus a relay win event championships.

Taylor Miller won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:27.73 and finished in third place in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:58.68.

Erin Artz won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:56.50. Taylor Wenzel won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.79 seconds. Alyssa Price won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 12:01.38, and Charlotte Walsh was second in 12:17.84.

Jamie Karrels took first place in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 43:51.03, and Paulina Puskala was second in 44:34.81.

The Green Knights' 4x400-meter relay won with a time of 4:18.39.

Kyra VandenHeuvel was second in the triple jump with a leap of 35-3 1/4 and was third in the long jump with a distance of 16-8. Ashley Bondarowicz was third in the triple jump at 33-7 1/4.

Haley Joosten was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:28.09.
